Об альбоме
После смерти Фредди Меркьюри в 1991 остальные три члена группы: Брайан Мэй, Роджер Тэйлор и Джон Дикон использовали записи голоса Фредди Меркьюри в создании последнего альбома Queen. Некоторые песни из альбома были уже знакомы публике, но инструментальные партии Брайана, Джона и Роджера были полностью переработаны. «My Life Has Been Saved» входила в сингл к песне «Scandal», а «Made in Heaven» и «I Was Born to Love You» ранее выходили на сольных пластинках Меркьюри. Heaven for Everyone — песня группы Роджера Тейлора The Cross, которая вошла в альбом «Shove It» (1988). Песню «Too Much Love Will Kill You» ранее исполнил Брайан Мэй, она входила в его сольный альбом «Back to the Light» (1992). «A Winter’s Tale» — последняя композиция, написанная Меркьюри, а «Mother Love» — последняя, недопетая песня Фредди.
Альбом стал одним из самых популярных, когда-либо выпущенных Queen. В 14 странах он занял первое место, а в двадцати стал платиновым (в некоторых странах по нескольку раз).
